Binghamton University Science II

The SUNY Binghamton University Science II and III project was a rehabilitation of an existing three-tower structure. The original panels were removed and new framing, exterior insulation, and Fundermax panels were put in place.

The designer chose Fundermax for durability and longevity. There were other options on the table such as metal composite panels but they have some of those elsewhere on the campus and they have not weathered very well.

Ultimately, the architect and the owner decided on three different colors to use for this project. With Fundermax‘s large selection of decor offerings, the design choice was made relatively easily. Additionally, Fundermax helped this project stay within budget as a cost-effective rainscreen solution with great design potential and ease of installation.
