Edificio Vallarta
Edificio Vallarta (Vallarta Building) is a residential building in the tourist town of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is defined by the natural charm of its beaches, embraced by the Sierra Madre mountains, and distinguished by its Mexican essence.
In the Edificio Vallarta, the architects chose Fundermax for the exterior façade, some interior wall cladding, and some of the soffits.
The innovative character of the HPL panels combined with the elegant woodgrain decors were a perfect match for this traditional environment.
The building's façade featured a dark woodgrain from Fundermax as well as in some of the interior areas, the soffits of the entrance, and the swimming pool area.
One of the advantages of the Fundermax panels is that they can either be installed vertically or horizontally. In this case, they were placed with a layout of thin stripes for both the vertical and horizontal design.
Modernity and tradition are both represented in this project by the same material with a number of positive attributes: resistance to weather, UV and moisture, as well as ease of cleaning which helps preserve the building from watermarks from salt residue from the ocean.
